What is Hermes Agent?
Hermes Agent is an open-source AI agent created by Nous Research. It has persistent memory, creates reusable skills from experience, can run scheduled tasks and use tools such as web search, and can be reached from messaging apps.
What does ReadyHermes do?
ReadyHermes hosts Hermes Agent for you. Instead of renting a server, installing Docker and configuring model keys, you create an account and get your own running Hermes Agent in about a minute.
Is it really my own agent, or a shared chatbot?
It is your own. Every account gets a dedicated Hermes Agent with its own memory and skills, isolated from every other user.
Do I need an API key or any technical setup?
No. Everything runs on our side, so you can start chatting straight after sign-up without any keys, servers or code.
Which AI model does it use? Is usage limited?
On a paid plan your agent runs on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, a fast and capable model, and the AI usage is included in the price, so you never need an API key. Like any hosted AI service, fair-use limits apply, as described in our Terms.
How much does it cost?
Every account starts with a 30-minute free trial, no credit card needed. After that, Lite is $5 a month and Pro is $10 a month, plus local tax where it applies. You can cancel anytime.
What happens when the free trial ends?
The 30 minutes start when your agent first runs. When they are up, your agent pauses. Choose a plan within 24 hours and it carries on with its memory and files; otherwise it is deleted.
Is my data private?
Your agent runs in its own isolated environment, and your account and agent data are stored in the EU. To write a reply, your message is sent to the AI model provider, which may be outside the EU. ReadyHermes does not use your conversations to train AI models and does not sell your data. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
What apps can it connect to?
More than 1,000, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive and Sheets, Notion, Slack, GitHub and Outlook. Ask your agent in chat and it sends you a secure sign-in link for that app. Each connection belongs to your agent only.
Can I use it from Telegram or WhatsApp?
Yes. From your dashboard you can connect Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, WeChat or Feishu/Lark, then message your agent from your phone like any other contact.
Will it remember what I told it last week?
Yes. Hermes keeps long-term memory across conversations, so it builds up context about you, your preferences and your ongoing work over time.
Can I switch between Lite and Pro?
Yes. Change your plan from the billing portal at any time. Your agent keeps its memory, skills and connected apps.
What happens if I cancel?
Your agent keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. It then stops, and we delete it 7 days later unless you subscribe again.
Can I SSH into my agent's machine?
Yes. In Bot tools, paste a one-time auth key from your own Tailscale account and your agent joins your private network. Bot tools then shows the exact command to run, such as ssh root@<its name>, from any of your devices. No port is opened to the public internet, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Can I back up my agent or see its files?
Yes. In Bot tools you can browse your agent's files, upload, download and rename them, save a backup of your agent as a .zip, and restore it later. Settings we manage for you, like the AI model and connected chat apps, aren't part of a restore.
Can my own apps talk to my agent?
Yes. Turn on the API endpoint in Bot tools to get an OpenAI-compatible address and key. Use it from your own scripts, servers and apps, or any tool that speaks the OpenAI API from a computer rather than a web page.
Can it work on my own computer?
Yes, if you want it to. Run the one-line command shown under My computer in Bot tools, choose which folders it may use and approve. Your agent can then read files in those folders when you ask. Saving files and running commands are separate permissions that stay off unless you turn them on, and you can disconnect the computer at any time.
